"The Memory House" really hit home. My wife has been diagnosed with dementia. Two years into it I am living in hell.

Been reading the New Yorker since the 50's...Before that, Grandpa used to sit me on his knee and explain cartoons to me, so that dry sense of humor became a life-time touchstone. I couldn't do without my subscription--haven't missed an issue since 1964. Great writing on a variety of topical subjects--personalities, healthcare, medicine, travel, history, science, the best cartoons anywhere, plus movie, play and book reviews. .

A GREAT reason to subscribe!!!! "New Yorker editor slams attempts to 'normalize' Trump as people living in 'a hallucination'"

The New Yorker manages to be both entertaining and informative all at once. It's extremely well written.

I constantly find myself receiving the next issue of the Newyorker before I have all the articles/prose/poetry read in the previous issue!! That is my bad. I am now eighty and can only wish I started my subscription fifty years ago! Thank you for your philosophy of quality creativity. Ron Racki

Night of Ginkgo Although Oliver Sacks captured the bucolic moment when Ginko trees leave their foliage, Oliver does not tell of the weeks preceding this event when the Ginkgo trees also drop their Ginko balls which smell like Vomit Comets. No wonder they've survived so many millions of years, as Oliver failed to mention that just stepping on these Vomit Comets reminds me of when my mother used to clean up after one of six of us threw up and then she proceeded to vomit. I walk my dog every day and dread walking through the Gingko Vomit alley, as I throw out my shoes with treads full of yellow stinko ginkos. Thanks to evolution for keeping the ginkgos, just not on city streets.

The New Yorker rises above all other magazines in every way. Now if they would just accept one of my short stories....

The New Yorker first came to me as a gift. I enjoyed it so much that I renewed and also gave the free subscription that was offered to a friend. I subscribe to TIME magazine and COASTAL LIVING, the only other magazines I read on a regular basis. The New Yorker has the best writing, the most interesting subjects and wonderful cartoons. Thanks for injecting a dose of humor into my daily life. Joy K

How to subscribe

Our goal is to provide you with the best information so that you can compare and decide which magazine site has the best deal for your magazine subscription. It is important to consider Price, Delivery, Auto-Renewal and Guarantee when deciding where to purchase.

Gift Subscriptions: Magazines are a great year round gift. Add a gift card with a personal note to immediately let your loved one know you have sent them a gift subscription.

Renewals: It‘s easy to renew, even if you don‘t know who you originally ordered from. Just use the same name and address and the publisher will add the new issues to your old subscription.

**1st Issue: This indicates the number of weeks before you are likely to receive your first issue. Delivery times vary depending on how often the magazine is published and the processing methods of the dealer you subscribe from. Generally, weekly magazines will be delivered the quickest while bi-monthlies can be very slow.

***Auto-Renew: Some websites offer this as a way to make it easier to continuously receive you favorite magazines without the risk of missing an issue due to your subscription running out. They will send you an email reminding you of the renewal and automatically charge your credit card unless you notify them that you don‘t want to renew. If this happens and you didn‘t want to renew, you should immediately let them know and they will cancel the charges.
